Drag'n Wash System Requirements: Integrated Graphics Are Fine

The bar is low: on Windows you can run it with 64-bit Windows 10, 8 GB of RAM, integrated graphics and 1 GB of free space. The official recommended tier only jumps to a discrete GPU — GTX 1080 or RX 5000 class — plus 16 GB of RAM. macOS needs Catalina 10.15.4 or newer, and Linux needs a distribution that supports Vulkan. Steam Deck is officially verified. One more thing worth knowing before you troubleshoot: the launch hotfix specifically fixed corrupted graphics on the native Linux build with Nvidia GPUs, so check your patch level before assuming your hardware is at fault.

Official specs by platform

The gap between the two tiers tells you something useful: the game is easy to launch, but its glass reflections and interior lighting are expensive to render, which is why the recommended tier jumps to a discrete card. A recent integrated-graphics laptop will usually handle the minimum tier. If you want high frame rates at higher settings, read the recommended column as the real target.

Steam Deck: officially verified

Around 15 September 2026, the developer announced that Drag’n Wash passed Steam Deck Verified. The announcement notes the effort that went into the native Linux build, which lines up with the store page listing separate macOS and Linux requirement tables — this is not a game running through a compatibility layer.

What is not published is measured frame rate or battery life on the Deck. If those matter, the safest test is buying on Steam and using the refund window to try it, or checking third-party benchmarks.

Two Linux pitfalls

Vulkan is mandatory. Both the minimum and recommended Linux entries carry the line “OS must support Vulkan”, meaning the renderer depends on it. On an older distribution or inside a VM, adequate hardware can still fail to launch.

Nvidia corruption was a known bug. The launch patch fixed graphical glitches on the native Linux build with Nvidia GPUs. So on Nvidia plus Linux, first confirm the patch is installed. If artefacts remain after updating, investigate drivers and Vulkan runtimes rather than assuming the machine is too weak.

One common data trap

Some third-party download sites list 32 GB as the Linux recommended RAM. That contradicts the official store page, which says 16 GB. This page uses the official figure, checked 15 September 2026, and requirement tables can change with patches — reconfirm against the store page when in doubt.

On storage, a note in passing: the itch.io installers are roughly 375 MB (Windows), 415 MB (macOS) and 605 MB (Linux), which is smaller than the store page’s “1 GB available space”. Both are correct — the store lists reserved space.
