Drag'n Wash Patch Notes: Two Updates and Exactly What They Fixed
Two official announcements so far. What each added, which problems are solved, which are still open, and how to check whether your issue was patched.
If you only want to know whether your problem is fixed, jump to the table below. As of 15 September 2026 the developer has published two update announcements. Kobold Hotfix added three toggles and cleared a batch of bugs; Steam Deck Verified confirmed handheld support and promised development plans. The one that matters most to ordinary players is the level 8 soft-lock, and it is fixed.

Around 14 September: Kobold Hotfix
What it added. Three toggles: motion-sickness reduction for the sprayer (in the options menu), an invert-Y mouse option, and an “Unstick Kobold” button in the game menu. The first two change how the game feels; the third is an emergency tool.
What it fixed. Six categories: a soft-lock tied to a Conrad interaction before a level 8 mount; multiple spelling and grammar errors; collision on the roof above the jukebox; Conrad’s texture swapping during some romance routes; Conrad’s bandages culled away at certain camera angles; and corrupted visuals on the native Linux build with Nvidia GPUs.
Why it matters. The mid-route soft-lock was the kind of bug that makes players assume the game is broken. If you were stuck at level 8, updating gets you past it.
What to do now. Confirm your build includes the hotfix. If the controls feel wrong, look for the two new toggles in the options menu.
What is still missing. No version number was published, and there is no word on whether sponge controls will also gain inversion — the announcement only asks players for an opinion.

Around 15 September: Steam Deck Verified
What happened. The developer announced that Drag’n Wash passed Steam Deck Verified, moving handheld compatibility from unlisted to officially confirmed.
What the post says. They put significant effort into the native Linux build and hope players enjoy it, and they state directly: “We know y’all are waiting for Drag’n Wash development plans, thank you for your patience. We’ll announce them soon.”
Why it matters. Linux and handheld players can buy with confidence. As for whether more content is coming, “soon” is currently the only available answer.
Still unannounced. The contents of those development plans, whether new dragons are coming, and whether there will be DLC or an endless mode.

Still broken, and still unanswered
Pressing the unstick button during the credits soft-locks the game. This is a player report and is absent from the official fix list, so simply avoid that button during the ending.
Requests for more content. The most repeated suggestions in reviews — an endless mode, more dragons, more interactions — have not been answered.
Dragons occasionally arriving already clean. Players on itch.io report that reloading resolves it; the developer has not confirmed.
When something goes wrong, check your version first, then this table. If your issue is not listed, include the version and platform when you report it — that is what makes a bug report actionable.
Sources and check date
Both announcements and their timestamps come from Steam’s official news API (Kobold Hotfix, Steam Deck Verified!); the feed entry point is the official announcement page. The credits soft-lock and the “arrives clean” report come from itch.io comments and are community information. All read and checked 15 September 2026.
